Common Dryer Problems We Fix
Heating element and igniter repair
A dryer that tumbles but stays cold usually has a failed heating element, thermal fuse or high-limit thermostat (electric), or a bad igniter, flame sensor or gas valve coil (gas). We test each one and replace the part that failed. Read our guide: Why Is My Dryer Running But Not Heating Up?.
Long drying time repair
Clothes that need two or three cycles often point to restricted airflow, lint buildup, a weak heating element or a faulty moisture sensor. We check airflow during the diagnosis and fix the cause. Related guides: Dryer Takes Multiple Cycles to Dry and Signs Your Dryer Vent Is Clogged.
Dryer won't start
A bad door switch, blown thermal fuse, worn start switch or faulty control board can stop a dryer from starting. As certified electronics technicians, we diagnose boards and wiring instead of guessing.
Drum not turning
If the motor runs but the drum doesn't move, the drive belt, idler pulley or motor may need replacement.
Squeaking, thumping or grinding
Noises usually come from worn drum rollers, the idler pulley or drum glides. Replacing them early prevents damage to the drum and motor.
Overheating and burning smell
A dryer that gets too hot or smells like burning needs attention right away. We check the thermostats, fuses and airflow so it runs safely again.
Error codes
Samsung, LG, Whirlpool and Maytag dryers show error codes that point to a specific part. We read the code and test the part before replacing anything.

Dryer Repair FAQ
How much does dryer repair cost?
It depends on the part and the brand. Simple fixes, like a thermal fuse or a drive belt, cost much less than a new motor or control board. We charge a diagnostic visit, and that fee is credited toward the repair if you go ahead with it. You get an exact quote before any work starts.
How long does a dryer repair take?
Most repairs take one to two hours once the technician is on site. If a part has to be ordered, we schedule a second visit as soon as it arrives.
Is it safe to use a dryer that smells like burning?
No. Turn it off and unplug it. A burning smell can mean lint buildup or an overheating part, which is a fire risk. Call us and we'll find the cause.
Do you also repair other appliances?
Yes. We also repair washers, dishwashers, refrigerators, ovens and stoves.
